The perfect entropy
For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.

The Weeping Woman (1937) by Picasso
Diving immerses you in a realm where you become hypersensitive to the vibrant energies and intricate interplay of forces. Every collision of water particles, every dance of light through reflection and refraction, and the presence of diverse marine life create a breathtaking tapestry of existence. You feel the pulses, ripples, and rhythms generated by the movements of fish, sea snakes, cuttlefish, squids, sea grasses, and soft corals. Water is the essence that propels sea creatures forward and enables the dispersal of eggs, sperm, and larvae across the vast ocean. Without these complex interactions, life as we know it would cease to exist. We would be adrift in a lifeless void.
Even as terrestrial beings, we have retained our capacity to sense the encompassing energies of our world, despite the different medium of air and its less dense molecules. We feel it. We feel the volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity of our surroundings. So in a volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous world, it is necessary to remain volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous. I’m partly kidding. Because I vow to sound less pessimistic in this post, I’ll try my best to shed a little hope in this planet.
God dammit, I’m not even a moralist nor an environmentalist. I simply have a deep appreciation for science. So let me rephrase my intention: I aim to shed a glimmer of truth about this planet we call home...
UNLESS WE TAKE DECISIVE ACTION TO ADDRESS THE DAMAGE CAUSED BY IRRESPONSIBLE HUMAN ACTIONS, PARTICULARLY BY CERTAIN CAPITALISTS, WORLD LEADERS, AND INFLUENCERS, NATURE WILL CONTINUE TO PUSH FOR THE EXTINCTION OF OUR SPECIES AND POSE SIGNIFICANT THREATS TO VULNERABLE ECOSYSTEMS DUE TO THE CLIMATE CRISIS AND ZOONOTIC DISEASES. IN THE GRAND SCHEME OF THE VAST UNIVERSE, YOU AND I ARE MERE SPECKS OF DUST. WE ARE TRANSIENT BEINGS WHOSE EXISTENCE CAN VANISH IN AN INSTANT IF WE'RE STRUCK BY MISFORTUNE. SO BITCH, YOU BETTER LISTEN TO NATURE IF, UNLIKE ME, YOU WANT TO LIVE AND ENJOY YOUR FINITE DAYS ON EARTH A LITTLE LONGER.
PLEASE, STOP BLAMING THE POOR BRAINLESS VIRUSES FOR THE DEATHS OF PEOPLE. I MEAN, WHO TOLD YOU TO EAT THAT PANGOLIN IN THE FIRST PLACE? OR THOSE BATS? OR THOSE SHARKS? OR THOSE MONKEYS? OR THOSE SEAHORSES? OR SEA TURTLES? OR TIGER’S PAWS AND PENISES? OR SNAKE HEADS AND BULL’S TESTICLES? I MEAN SERIOUSLY, HOW MUCH LIBIDO DO MEN NEED? I DON’T KNOW IF THERE REALLY IS A SHORTAGE OF HUMAN LIBIDO OR A SHORTAGE OF NEURONAL CONNECTION.
Girl Before A Mirror (1932) by Picasso
THEY ARE CALLED WILD ANIMALS FOR A REASON! THEY CARRY UNKNOWN MICROORGANISMS, VIRUSES, PRIONS, AND PROTEINS THAT ARE COMPLETELY ALIEN TO OUR IMMUNE SYSTEM. THESE MICROORGANISMS AND VIRUSES HAVE BEEN CIRCULATING INSIDE THEM FOR A LONG TIME. IT’S ALREADY ONE WITH THEIR MICROBIOME. SO OF COURSE, THEY ARE IMMUNE TO IT. BUT WE ARE NOT. IF WE CONSUME THEM (RAW) OR HANDLE THEM IMPROPERLY, WE BECOME MORE SUSCEPTIBLE TO ACQUIRING THE OTHER PATHOGENS PRESENT WITHIN OR ON THEM.
OUR EXPANDED ACCESS TO WILDLIFE HABITATS AND ECOLOGICAL ZONES, DUE TO THE GROWTH OF ROADS AND URBAN SETTLEMENTS, HEIGHTENS OUR RISK OF INFECTION. THE UNPRECEDENTED, EXPONENTIAL GROWTH OF THE HUMAN POPULATION CONTINUOUSLY AGGRAVATES SPILLOVER CRISES LIKE THIS. IN THE PAST CENTURY ALONE, WE HAVE ADDED 6 BILLION PEOPLE TO THIS PLANET! AS A RESULT, WE HAVE DEPLETED OUR NATURAL RESOURCES AND PUSHED COUNTLESS ANIMAL SPECIES TO THE BRINK OF EXTINCTION.
GOD. WHAT DID YOU EXPECT? THAT NATURE WOULD REMAIN PASSIVE-AGGRESSIVE? THAT SHE WOULD AVOID CONFLICT AND TURN A BLIND EYE TO THE HARM HUMANS INFLICT UPON HER? SHE HAS DISPLAYED TREMENDOUS PATIENCE, BUT OF COURSE, NATURE WILL RESPOND TO OUR ACTIONS WITH RETALIATION.
Perhaps we’ll never know who these heroic morons are that started this pandemic. Whoever they are, they probably have been negatively selected by now. But we had this coming people. We had this coming. We have witnessed the trembling of the earth beneath our feet, the devastating impact of drought on our lands and crops, the scorching intensity of the sun, the relentless deluge of rainfall, and the plaintive cries of distressed animals. The warning signs were evident, and deep down, we were aware that our current state of affairs was teetering on the edge of an irreparable breakdown. We knew the predicaments burning inside us. We knew our current condition is a nirvana to a perfect entropy.
