white—noise
by Ayako Rokkaku
Barking dog, meowing cat,
echoes of sounds intertwined,
a roaring tiger, a howling wolf,
syncopated melodies in chaotic blend.
Noise fills the air, saturating the white,
creating a cacophony of confusion,
a cluttered symphony of disarray,
where clarity and harmony seem lost.
No dog, no cat, no tiger, no wolf,
just voices drowning in the clamor,
"I'm right, you're wrong!" they proclaim,
never truly listening, only focused on their own point.
So ambiguous, their intentions,
so ambiguous—until the truth fades,
left behind in the vast emptiness,
a void where understanding is elusive.
